Why do alot of stylists cut hair too short?
by Edward Boye'

Cutting Hair is fun. It can change the whole image of one's face. Some times stylists just get creative, sometimes too creative, and sometimes forgetting the lenght that was orginally discussed. Hair, if cut just 1/4" makes a giant difference. It can make one feel too short. Solution: Hold the hair out and show the exact lenght, any layers the same. I remember and stick to the program. Conversations alot of times distracts most hairdressers. I feel this is a part of your body and it has to be right. The same goes for texturizing the hair. I never texturize fine hair, unless it's a short cut with alot of different feathery ends, then at that just on the ends, not the middle of the shaft. Wonder why you see that big chop layer in the back of alot of long hair today? When the hair is pulled horizonal out of the back of the head then layered the shape of the back of the head into the neck, that big curve, causes the top layer to pull up and hense that ugly chop then the thin hair on the bottom. The long hair should be pulled all the way up or angled to get a proper flow that can look like all different lenghts when the head is moved. I know I see it everywhere. Even in the windows of the larger salons, here in Beverly Hills, when I drive home. So in conclusion the style is to be understood with a photo from a magazine or one of my books.. the lenghts are of the utmost importance. I do not do anything blindly and my client knows exactly what I'm doing.

Edward I remember the first time you cut my hair. I had a very short choppy haircut. I wanted it nice choppy not ugly choppy, the way this other person had cut it. You texturized it so beautifully and here I am today with shoulder lenght hair and wanting that choppy haircut again. Okay Edward I will think again if I really want to go short. You always wanted me to make the right decision . Love Ya Jill will call for appt,,short I think it's time so there I'm ready

I went to you a month ago and you did my color and cut. Yes, you did not cut my hair too short. I was delighted because were I was going here in Huntington Beach. This guy always cuts it a bit too short and I had to wait 2 weeks or more before I really liked it. By the way, I love my "natural" red color that you gave me. So, looks like I'll be coming to Beverly Hills from now on. thanks Blanca
